I have a formula field in my opportunties and I wanted to use a roll-up summary field in the account object so that I can find the minimum value of the field in all of the accounts opportunities. This does not seem to be possible :-( Why is this not possible, and can salesforce be changed so that I can do this ? |

Outlook Edition - Display screen-pops in Edit mode |
|
|

Currently, when emails are added from Outlook to salesforce, the task/case is automatically saved and all required custom fields have been ignored. If the user doesn't remember to edit this new record, important information may not be entered.
After the record has been added to sfdc and the user gets a screen pop showing them the new record, how about displaying it in Edit mode instead of Detail mode? The user would then have to complete all required fields before they could save the record.
Thanks. |

The Mass Update Opportunities app from AppExchange only works for Salesforce account above Professional Edition. It would be nice to have this feature included in the Professional Edition as well. I have to updated 500+ Opportunities one by one. :( |

Sort Multiple Columns in Tab View or Reports |

Currently there is no way to sort more than 1 column in Salesforce under any Tab views or Report views. This would be extremely helpful to be able to sort multiple columns to get the views you want. |

Let us choose whether to add .sandbox to EMAIL address (Not username) |

PLEASE READ - I have posted this before but it was misunderstood! Now I have a real example of why this should be promoted!
Stop adding .<name> to the end of everyones EMAIL address!! It is good for USERNAME but not email addresses.
Provide admin with the choice to make email addresses active or not at the time of refresh.
If used for training you have to change everyones email address after every refresh - they all get an email having to confirm this change which doesn't always go down too well (here anyway)!
What if the administrator(s)forget their password? Salesforce can not send you a new password becasue the email address is wrong! Instead you need Exec sign off to change your own email address!
REAL EXAMPLE
4 system administrators.
2 on holiday. 2 in the office.
The development sandbox is rarely used due to limitations on packages (an expensive play area indeed - another thing we should vote on)!
Neither admins can access this sandbox as they have forgotten their passwords.
What do you do? You ring Salesforce - they can reset your password.
So the password has been reset. Wait...no email!!!
Hmm could it be that my email address has .develop at the end of it?! Yes - that would be it!
So can salesforce correct your email address? Not without C level exec sign off on company headed paper - and rightly so! But who wants to go to the effort of tracking down the Execs with their tail between their legs because they forgot their password?! Please come on!
If nothing else please stop adding .sandbox to the end of Administrators email addresses!
It is an absolute nightmare to get back in! |
